Siliguri, 12th December: With the increasing crime rate in the city, the administration has called to install CCTV cameras in various areas of Siliguri with the help of a private organization.
Today, Mayor Goutam Deb of Siliguri Municipal Corporation held a meeting with the officials of the said private organization, Siliguri Metropolitan Police, SDO, Municipal Corporation officials and members of the Mayor’s Council.
Speaking in this regard, the Mayor said that a proposal has been made by a private networking organization. Presently the matter is under discussion. Soon it will be taken up at a higher level. Only after this, the work will start as per the decision.
