Cattle trafficking bid foiled, four arrested with 43 buffaloes in Fulbari

Siliguri, 10th January: The Border Security Force (BSF) successfully seized a container truck and rescued 43 buffaloes by launching an operation near the Fulbari Toll Plaza area late on Tuesday night. The incident led to the arrest of four individuals identified as Sheikh Miraj, Mohammad Rizwan, Sheikh Ramzan, and Naimuddin.


Reportedly, the container loaded with buffaloes was on its way from Bihar to Assam via Fulbari. Acting on a tip-off, the BSF personnel seized the container in the said area.

Later, the BSF handed over the four accused including the buffaloes to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station. On Wednesday, all accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri court. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
