Phansidewa, 16th December: Phanisdewa police foiled the cattle-smuggling attempt under the guise of paddy sacks.
Acting on a tip-off the police intercepted a pickup van on the basis of suspicion in the Gwaltuli More area of the Fulbari Bypass National Highway of Phansidewa. Five cattle were being smuggled in the guise of paddy sacks. The cattle were rescued from the said van. However, seeing the opportunity, the smugglers absconded.
According to police sources, the cattle were being smuggled from Bihar to Bangladesh. The Phansidewa police have started searching for the people involved in the incident.
