Phansidewa, 26th September: The Phansidewa Bidhannagar police rescued 15 cattle, 15 buffaloes, and 10 calves from two trucks before smuggling. Three people have also been arrested in this incident.
Reportedly, two 17-wheeler trucks were intercepted on suspicion during a Naka Checking in front of Murliganj Check Post of Bidhannagar. After which the animals were recovered from both the trucks during the search. The trucks driver and assistant driver were arrested for failing to show any valid documents. The accused have been produced in the Siliguri Court.
