Kharibari, 19th October: Sensation prevailed in the area after the recovery of the mortal remains of two leopard cubs found in the Durgamata Tea Estate of Buraganj, Kharibari.
According to reports, the tea workers found the lifeless carcasses of two leopard cubs while tending to the tea garden. Upon receiving the information, the Tukuriajhar forest officials recovered the two dead leopards and transported them to the Bengal Safari for a post-mortem examination.
The forest officials revealed that the two cubs are suspected to have perished following a fight between the cubs. However, the real cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
