Siliguri, 29th September: A camp was organized at Paramount Hospital, Siliguri on the occasion of World Heart Day, on Wednesday.
Apart from educating the general public about heart ailments, patients were given free counseling at the camp. Besides, a diabetes camp was also organized with the assistance of RSSDI. Free diabetes check-up was also organized under the slogan ‘One Nation One Day One Million Test’.
Dr. Naitik Singla, Director of Paramount Hospital, said that the camp was organized on the occasion of World Heart Day. More such initiatives will be adopted in the coming days.
On the other hand, Dr. Swapan Kumar Saha and Dr. Jhulana Kumar Jena said that September 29 is celebrated as World Heart Day all over the globe. The sole purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware of heart disease.
