Calcutta High Court orders all Durga Puja pandals in Bengal to be declared no-entry zones

Siliguri, 01st October: Like last year, this time too, the Calcutta High Court, on Friday, issued instructions that Durga puja pandals will be no-entry zones for visitors.


Public interest litigation was filed in the Calcutta High Court fearing the third wave of coronavirus. Following which, Calcutta High Court issued the order today. No objection has been raised on behalf of the state. As a result, the guidelines issued by the High Court on Puja last year remain in force.

Meanwhile, the restrictions in the state have been extended till October 30. However, there will be no night curfew during Puja days.
