Fulbari, 11th June: A fire broke out in the cabin of a truck causing a stir in the area. The incident took place in front of a private godown in Jiaganj area along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway.
The fire was brought under control with the help of local people and fire extinguishers installed in the godown. In this regard, truck driver Vijay Kumar Roy stated that a gas cylinder caught fire in the cabin while he was cooking. The cabin was burnt into ashes however, there was no report of any casualty in this incident.
On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the New Jalpaiguri police reached the spot and started to investigate the entire matter.
