Siliguri, 14th June: Sensation prevailed after a bus driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a Bihar-Siliguri passenger bus. The deceased has been identified as Tejendra Singh, a resident of Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
According to the information, Tejendra drove the bus from Bihar and reached Siliguri on Sunday. Upon his arrival, his health allegedly deteriorated. His assistant informed his family about the incident and Tejendra’s son-in-law left for Siliguri from Bihar on Monday. The matter took a different turn after his son-in-law reached Siliguri this morning. He went around the Junction Bus Stand and inquired about Tejendra Singh but could not locate him. He then called the police and asked for help.
Acting promptly, the police reached the spot and on questioning around, it was learned that Tejendra Singh was inside the bus. When they went to the bus, Tejendra was found lying dead inside. His body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. At present, the son-in-law of the deceased has lodged a complaint at the police station regarding the incident. The police are probing the entire matter.
