Burmese wood worth about Rs 1 crore recovered from Fulbari, 3 arrested

Rajganj, 28 January: The forest workers of the Belacoba Range recovered Burmese wood from two trucks before it could be smuggled. Three people identified as Wasim Khan (22), Mustakim Khan (18), and Nasim (22), resident of Haryana, were arrested in connection to the incident.


Under the leadership of Ranger Sanjay Dutt of the Belacoba Range, forest workers recovered the woods from the Fulbari area. The woods were to be smuggled from Assam to another state via Kolkata. The accused will be presented to the Jalpaiguri court on Saturday.
