Siliguri, 27th January: The constant rise in burglary cases does not seem to stop. The incidents have become quite frequent encouraging the ill motives of thieves. Every other day thieves are targeting one or the other shop or house. This time, the burglars targeted a gold shop located on Hillcart Road in Siliguri adjacent to Anil Biswas Bhavan late on Thursday night.
In the dark hour, the thieves climbed on top of the shop by uniquely tying muffler and rope and entered the shop by cutting the grill with a gas cutter. After this, the miscreants broke open the locker and fled away with the CCTV DVR along with the gold jewellery. On Friday morning when the employees of the shop reached to open the shop, they found out about the burglary. After this, the information about the incident was given to the police.
As soon as the news was received, the Siliguri police reached the spot and started investigating the entire incident by scanning the CCTV footage installed around the area.
