Siliguri, 14th December: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived at a monastery located in the Salugara region of Siliguri and delivered teachings to his devotees. Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb and Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar were present as special guests in the program.
According to reports, around 20,000 pilgrims from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Sikkim, Dooars, and neighbouring nations Nepal and Bhutan visited the monastery. The Buddhist guru was welcomed with strong security in the Salugara area.
