BSF-BGB jointly organize programme at Zero Point of Fulbari Border Check Post

Rajganj, 14th December: On the golden jubilee year of Bangladesh’s independence, a programme was organized at Zero Point of Fulbari Border Check Post under the joint initiative of Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). Besides, the freedom fighters of Bangladesh were felicitated.


The freedom fighters of Bangladesh said that innumerable BSF jawans have been martyred for the independence of Bangladesh. Bangladesh might not have become independent if the Indian government had not cooperated. The event was organized to present the self-sacrifice history of the two countries to the new generation.


 

Ravi Gandhi, IG of BSF’s North Bengal Frontier, said that relations between India and Bangladesh are good. The main battle for the independence of Bangladesh was fought from December 03 to December 16. In the golden jubilee year, a joint cultural programme was organized to commemorate those who were martyred in that war.
