Siliguri, 07th February: The undercover cops of Siliguri Police Station arrested a person identified as Jabir Ali (35), a resident of Madhyapalas of Devidanga with brown sugar worth crores of rupees.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a campaign near the swimming pool area in Kanchanjanga Stadium and arrested the suspect. During the search, the police recovered 270 grams of brown sugar from his possession.
The assumed market value of brown sugar is said to be in crores. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act. The police are investigating the matter.
