Rajganj, 05th August: Breastfeeding week was observed in Rajganj through a camp. On Thursday, the Integrated Child Development scheme and CINI organized an awareness camp at the Anganwari Center in Skulpara, Rajganj. The camp was conducted with the women of the area. Mothers were advised to breastfeed their babies till the age of six months and were also informed about the benefits of breastfeeding.
CINI member Kalpana Roy said that Breastfeeding Week is observed from August 01 to August 07. Earlier, this programme used to be conducted in every Anganwari centre, however, due to the ongoing pandemic, programmes are being carried out in certain places in the block.
