Siliguri, 04th February: Sensation prevailed after the body of a youth was found hanging in Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Jairam, a resident of Harijan Basti near Gate Bazaar.
Locals sighted the lifeless body hanging from a tree near the old NBSTC office adjacent to Gatebazar. The incident was then reported to the police. The locals alleged that many anti-social activities take place in the said area.
Police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. NJP police are investigating the incident.
