Siliguri,28th February: In a mysterious incident, the body of a newborn was recovered from a water tanker near the old women’s hostel of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). The incident created a stir in the entire area.
According to the information received, an ambulance driver noticed the body of a newborn floating in the water tanker and immediately reported the incident to the police.
Upon receiving the news, the medical outpost police and the firefighters reached the spot shortly after. They then recovered the body and handed it over to the police.
As per reports, the newborn is assumed to be 1 to 2 days old. The police are further investigating the matter.
