Rajganj, 18th July: Sensation prevailed in the area of Fulbari after the body of a person was found hanging from the noose on the roadside. The deceased has been identified as Amit Roy, a resident of Chayan Para area near Ashighar.
According to sources, the locals found the body hanging from a tree in the area adjacent to the Fulbari barrage. Shortly after, they reported to the New Jalpaiguri Police Station.
On receiving the news, the police arrived at the spot, recovered Amit’s body, and sent it for post-mortem. The police have started probing the matter.
