Cooch Behar, 17th November: Sensation prevailed after the deceased body of a businessman was found in a dilapidated state in Balarampur of Cooch Behar. The deceased individual has been identified as Subrata Ghosh (35), a resident of Nazirhat in Dinhata.
According to reports, on Thursday night, the businessman was returning home after delivering ‘chhena’ (cottage cheese) to a store in Tufanganj. Later, he informed his wife that he was returning home over the phone. However, the man did not return home even later at night following which his body was recovered in blood-soaked and decomposed condition from the said area.
In this regard, the deceased’s family alleged that he was lynched to death by several miscreants while returning home. Upon receiving the news, the officials of the Tufanganj police station arrived at the scene and retrieved the deceased body. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
