Siliguri, 17th September: On the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, a blood donation camp was held under the commendable initiative of Siliguri Greater E-Rickshaw Union INTTUC (Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress) Town 2 at Arabinda Pally Main Road in Ward No. 22 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
According to reports, the blood donation drive was held under the management of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), Rotary Blood Bank, in partnership with the Lions Club of Siliguri Smart City. The collected blood was sent to NBMCH and the Rotary Blood Bank. In addition, a sit-and-draw contest has been scheduled for Monday.
In this regard, E-Rickshaw Union member Rakesh Pal stated that a blood donation drive would be organized annually. He added that the camp was organized prioritizing the welfare of the people.
