Naxalbari, 12th January: A blood donation camp was organized by the Naxalbari Sri Ramakrishna Ashram today to commemorate the 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The camp was attended by Naxalbari Sri Ramakrishna Ashram President Narayan Agarwal, Vice President Narendra Prasad and Amitabh Roy, Secretary Ranjan Pandey, Deputy Secretary Bhaskar Roy, Treasurer Paritosh Bardhan, Biren Karmakar and other dignitaries.
Ashram President said that on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's 158th birthday, the said blood donation camp was organized in the ashram premises. In the camp, various people including the officers and members of the ashram donated blood. About 65 units of blood were collected.
As per the information, all participants were presented with certificates and gifts. On behalf of the ashram, Biren Karmakar said that the initiative was taken to tackle the shortage of blood amid the pandemic.
