Blood crisis hits NBMCH, common people face difficulties

Siliguri, 25th February: North Bengal Medical College-Hospital is facing a blood crisis due to which the common people are going through a lot of difficulties.


The blood department authorities stated that the hospital authorities have reported the issue in various departments to resolve the problem. Blood department Director Dr. Mridumoy Das stated that patients from all over North Bengal come to NBMCH for treatment. Around 2500 units of blood are required every month but only 800 units are collected due to which blood crisis is being witnessed in the hospital.
