BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari on Kaliyaganj visit, takes a massive jibe at state government

Bagdogra, 19th May: The Leader of the Opposition of the West Bengal State Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, arrived in Siliguri from Kolkata today in preparation for his visit to Kaliyaganj. He traveled by road from Siliguri to reach Kaliyaganj. Upon his arrival at Siliguri’s Bagdogra Airport, Suvendu Adhikari spoke to the media and made several comments on various issues pertaining to the state.


Regarding the recent Egra Firecracker factory blast, Suvendu Adhikari made strong remarks by expressing that the death of the main accused, Bhanu Bagh, dealt a significant blow to the ruling Trinamool Congress party. He further suggested that the Information and Cultural Affairs Department should issue a condolence statement in this regard.

Furthermore, when addressing the state Chief Minister’s letter proposing a reduction in railway fares, Suvendu Adhikari advised the government to first lower bus fares. He also highlighted the high prices of essential items such as LPG gas and emphasized the need for the state to monitor and regulate these prices. Additionally, the leader of the opposition took a dig at Abhishek Banerjee from the Trinamool Congress for holding multiple party offices.
