BJP’s Siliguri Municipal Corporation Chalo Abhiyan to be held on November 30

Siliguri, 27th November: During a meeting at the Mallaguri BJP party office on Saturday, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh informed that all BJP MLAs have called for Siliguri Municipal Corporation Chalo Abhiyan on November 30 to strengthen their position in Siliguri before the SMC elections.


Ghosh said that SMC’s Board of administrators constituted by the state government is completely inactive in providing civic services to the people. Ordinary people are struggling with drinking water, roads, and drainage system. On the other hand, people are not deprived of old age allowance and ration. Due to which the Siliguri Municipal Corporation Chalo Abhiyan programme has been called on November 30. Meanwhile, while targeting the state government, he said that Kolkata Corporation elections are being held, but SMC elections are not being held.

On the other hand, Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandamay Barman and Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Shikha Chatterjee also took a jibe at the state government.
