BJP will transform Bengal into ‘Sonar Bangla’: Kailash Vijayavargiya

Siliguri, 30th August: During a press conference in Siliguri today, Kailash Vijayavargiya, the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and party’s Central Observer for West Bengal, stated that if BJP comes into power in 2021, Bengal will be transformed into ‘Sonar Bangla’.

In this context, he claimed that the party will adopt new initiatives across the state, provide jobs to the unemployed, and implement proper rights to all farmers.

When asked regarding a permanent solution in the hills, Vijayavargiya stated that whatever the party has promised during the Lok Sabha elections, the Home Ministry is active regarding it and claimed that continuous work is being carried out to fulfill all commitments.

Vijayavargiya said that the biggest problem at the moment is NEET and Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) since the examination dates have clashed with the complete lockdown days announced by the state government. Therefore, he wants the lockdown dates to be changed keeping in mind the future of students.

Apart from this, he presented detailed records of the assistance provided by the Center to help the Amphan victims. He criticized the role of the state government amid the ongoing pandemic and also taunted the Chief Minister regarding the new initiatives in Bengal.

He further accused the state government of working against the farmers and stated that while several projects have been launched for the farmers on behalf of the central government, no such facilities are being provided in West Bengal.
