Siliguri, 08th February: State Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari arrived in Siliguri to campaign in support of BJP candidates for the SMC polls 2022.
Before campaigning, he addressed a press conference at the party office in Mallaguri and said that if BJP wins the elections, the party will form a triple engine board and carry out proper development of the city.
He further accused Trinamool Congress of misleading people in the name of development. He said, “The general public does not know that the state government has gone bankrupt and that they have taken loan thrice in the month of January. Therefore, people should not be misled by the false promises made by TMC.”
He urged all to vote for BJP and allow the party’s MPs and MLAs to work for the city’s development using various funds from the central government. At the same time, he took a massive jibe at the state government and said that no DA has been given to government school teachers in the month of January.
Regarding Mamta Banerjee campaigning in support of Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh, Suvendu Adhikari said that BJP will benefit from this. At the same time, he said that this time Yogi Adityanath will be victorious with more than 300 seats. He further appealed to the citizens to make BJP win in SMC polls with a huge number of votes.
