Siliguri, 09th November: On Thursday, the workers and members of BJP No. 4 Mandal Committee of Siliguri Organisational District staged a sit-in protest in front of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) Borough Committee-III office, voicing multiple grievances against the SMC.
According to reports, the organization’s members claimed that the SMC had completely failed to fulfill the commitments made to the people of Siliguri. From the city’s drinking water issue to dilapidated roads in the city, all the problems remain unresolved. Furthermore, SMC is unable to curb the spike in dengue disease.
In addition to voicing all of these grievances, the members set up mosquito nets in front of the Siliguri Indoor Stadium as part of the protest.
