Siliguri, 21st May: Several complaints have been surfacing regarding COVID treatment at the city’s nursing homes. The state government had issued guidelines that Swasthya Sathi cards can be used by patients for COVID treatment. However, questions are being raised regarding the effectiveness of it in private hospitals.
In this concern, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh held a press conference at the BJP district office on Friday.
Shankar Ghosh said the BJP MLAs will visit all the private hospitals from Saturday to check whether people are getting the benefits of the Swasthya Sathi scheme or not and also to figure out the problems being faced by the common people. He also requested the district health administration and the SMC Board of Administrators to monitor the functioning of private hospitals.
