Siliguri, 18th January: Political parties are constantly accusing each other of tearing down election banners and posters. Whereas, today a different scene has come to light from ward number 24.
BJP candidate as well as Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, during his campaign, was spotted picking up TMC’s flag from the sewer and tying it on a tree. This act has given a new message to other political parties.
In this regard, MLA Shankar Ghosh stated that politics should remain in its place. All parties consider their party flag as essential and every flag carries its importance. He also stated that he respects the flags of all political parties.
Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress spokesperson Bedabrata Dutta also said that this behavior is indeed appreciable and all political parties should learn from this.
