Siliguri, 07th August: Today, a harmonious political scene was witnessed in Siliguri where BJP MLA and Siliguri Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Municipal Corporation Chairperson was seen sharing the stage together. Khuti Puja was organized in Tarun Tirth Club of Ward No. 24. BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh, Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb appeared on the stage. However, both did not share any kind of conversation or talks.
Speaking in this regard, Mayor Deb said that it is the right of the club to invite whoever they want. He added that this is a puja ceremony where everyone has come together to celebrate despite the political background one belongs to. He attended the ceremony because he was invited and no political inclination should be of any concern.
At the same time, MLA Shankar Ghosh said that there should be a certain etiquette maintained in politics. Political leaders should take the responsibility of bringing back the trust and love of the people towards politics. There is no better way to show a harmonious political manner than to come together during the time of worship.
