Siliguri, 16th June: BJP Dabgram-II Anchal Committee, under the leadership of Jalpaiguri District BJP leader Shikha Chatterjee, staged a protest at the Dabgram-II Gram Panchayat office demanding proper sanitization of the locality.
It is to be noted that a few days ago, a resident of the said area tested COVID-19 positive. Following this, the committee members staged a protest at the panchayat office and demanded immediate sanitization of the entire area. The police later reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
Shikha Chatterjee stated that since the coronavirus-infected youth had visited different areas for party related work, the chances of the infection spreading in those areas are very high. Therefore, she demanded all the areas to be identified soon and sanitized properly.
