Siliguri, 03rd December: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation dates have not been announced yet, nonetheless, all the parties have started preparations at their own level.
Similarly, in view of the corporation elections, the BJP State Committee announced their election committee on Friday. The main responsibility has been given to the MP and MLA in the said committee. Apart from this, party’s trusted veterans have also been included in this committee.
The BJP’s election committee comprises, BJP’s national spokesperson and MP Raju Bista and Jalpaiguri MP Dr Jayant Roy have been made the observers of the committee. While Siliguri Organizational District BJP President Praveen Agarwal and Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandamoy Barman have been made the co-ordinators.
Furthermore, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh has been made the in-charge of the committee. While four people have been made co-incharge.
Sushil Mittal, vice-president of the organizational district committee, has been made the in-charge of the election management committee.
