Birdwatchers thrilled as migratory birds flock towards Fulbari Mahananda Barrage

Fulbari, 21st November: With the onset of the winter season, migratory birds have begun arriving at the Fulbari Mahananda Barrage. Like other reservoirs in North Bengal, several species of foreign birds can now be seen at the Fulbari Barrage, located near Siliguri.


Local residents explained that every year, during the winter months, various species of migratory birds are seen in the Fulbari Mahananda Barrage area. This year, the birds have arrived earlier than usual, marking the start of the season. The birds come from various regions including Mongolia, Tibet, South Africa, Siberia, and other countries.

Birdwatchers are thrilled to witness the arrival of these diverse species of birds. Locals are careful of protecting the birds and ensuring they are not disturbed. People from various places visit the area to observe these beautiful migratory birds.
