Alipurduar, 20th January: A motorcycle rider lost his life in a tragic road accident, on Thursday morning. The incident took place on the Asian Highway-48 of Ethelbari More area under Birpara police station of Alipurduar. The deceased has been identified as Suresh Manjhi (45) of Odlabari.
Reportedly, a lorry coming from the opposite direction crushed the said person, killing him on the spot.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem. The police are probing the whole matter.
