‘Bike Ambulance Dada’ recovers while undergoing treatment in Siliguri due to heart attack

Siliguri, 06th November: Padma Shri awardee Karimul Haque, also known as ‘Bike Ambulance Dada’, is currently in stable condition following medical care at a private hospital in Siliguri after he suffered a heart attack on Saturday while volunteering for the “Bhandari Mela” located in the Kranti area.


According to reports, Haque set up a free health camp in Kranti where he worked for three days continuously. On Saturday, he was getting ready to leave his residence in Dhalabari, Rajadanga Gram Panchayat when he abruptly became unwell. He was evaluated by the accompanying doctors, who then drove him to a private hospital located on Hill Cart Road.

Hospital’s Operation Head Tanmay Sannyal stated that Haque got profusely ill when they were departing to attend the health camp in Kranti. Following this, he was transported to Siliguri after subsequent preliminary aid and is currently receiving further medical care. In this regard, Haque stated that he was transported to Siliguri for his health conditions. He further expressed that his condition has comparatively improved after receiving intensive medical care.
