Bidhannagar Police arrest two drug peddlers with 24 kgs of cannabis 

Bidhannagar, 30th April: In a breakthrough, the Bidhannagar police arrested two drug peddlers with a huge quantity of marijuana before they could smuggle it. The accused have been identified as Mohammad Rajak (28) and Harilal Karmakar (21).
Reportedly, the police conducted a Naka Checking in front of Bidhannagar Murligang Check Post and apprehended the duo while they were travelling to Uttar Dinajpur from Siliguri. Upon searching the two men, 24 kilos of cannabis were recovered from their possession and were immediately taken into custody. The market value of the illegal substance is estimated to be worth Rs 2 lakh. The duo was presented in Siliguri Subdivisional Court today. Bidhannagar police have started an investigation into the matter.
