Siliguri, 27th May: The voting process of the Bidhan Market Vyavasaayee Samiti started at 8 am on Friday and will continue till 6 pm. While the election is held after every three years, however, this year, it is being conducted after four years due to the pandemic.
Reportedly, the number of voters of the Bidhan Market Vyavasaayee Samiti stands at 1,672 out of these, 350 are women voters. A total of 43 candidates are contesting in the election. Hence to expedite the voting process, 12 booths have been arranged.
