Siliguri, 28th May: The Bhaktinagar police arrested a man with brown sugar worth 17 lakh rupees. The arrested accused has been identified as Dilip Roy alias Budhru. He is a resident of Biswas Colony in Matigara.
It has been learned that the IC of Bhaktinagar Police Station Omresh Sinha launched an operation last night at Gandhi Nagar and seized 253 grams of brown sugar from a man. The accused has been arrested under the NDPS Act.
In the initial investigation, the police learned that the accused Dilip Roy used to smuggle drugs in different places of Siliguri. The Bhaktinagar police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
