Siliguri, 20th April: The Bhaktinagar police arrested a person for stealing trucks. The arrested accused has been identified as Vinod Sharma. He was produced in the Jalpaiguri court, on Tuesday.
According to the information received, Vinod Sharma, along with his associates Gaurav Sharma and Vikas Sharma, was running an illegal business by stealing trucks, changing Chassis numbers, and selling them.
Reportedly, a few days ago, a complaint regarding truck theft was lodged from the area under the Bhaktinagar police station. Based on the complaint, the Bhakti Nagar police, on Monday night, launched operations at the Prakash Nagar area and arrested Vinod Sharma last night. 14 stolen trucks were recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile, the police have launched search operations to trace Gaurav Sharma and Vikas Sharma.
