Siliguri, 07th February: A team of Bhaktinagar police station launched a campaign at the T.B Hospital premises near Munshi Premchand Mahavidyalaya, last night. During the operation, three people identified as Kanai Das of Gurung Basti, Samar Sharma of Lakhi Colony and Manik Das of Dasrath Pally, were arrested with illicit narcotic injections.
Reportedly, around 42 injections were recovered from the accused. Out of the three, Manik Das and Kanai Das are said to have been involved in many illegal activities in the past too. A case has been registered under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The accused were presented before Jalpaiguri Court today.
