Siliguri, 02nd October: Siliguri Metropolitan Police’s fight to make the city drug-free is advancing at a steady pace. In one such case, Bhakti Nagar police arrested two young men with intoxicating tablets. The arrested have been identified as Manik Roy (27) of Matigara and Mohammad Fakira (29) of Prakash Nagar area.
Reportedly, the police, acting on a tip-off, arrested both the accused from the adjoining area of Don Bosco More. About 500 pieces of narcotic tablets were recovered from their possession. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. They were presented in the Jalpaiguri court on Saturday.
