Siliguri, 24th October: After forming the new party Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM), Anit Thapa was spotted sharing the stage at the Chief Minister’s programme in Siliguri’s Baghajatin Park, on Sunday.
However, leaders like Bimal Gurung or Binoy Tamang were not seen. Besides, MP Shanta Chhetri was also present in today’s programme.
Anit Thapa was on the stage from the beginning to the end of the programme. He also handed over prizes to several clubs.
At the end of the ceremony, Thapa said that he was invited to attend the ceremony. However, he claimed to be unaware regarding the absence of Binoy Tamang and Bimal Gurung. He also said that he will hold discussions with Mamata Banerjee about various issues related to the development in the hills.
On the other hand, he further said that an audit needs to be done of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA). He also demanded that GTA elections be held immediately.
