Bengal’s 2-days a week Lockdown: Dhupguri under strict police surveillance

Dhupguri, 23rd July: In light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, Bengal government has imposed 2-days a week complete lockdown starting this Thursday and Saturday, i.e. on July 23 and July 25, all over the state.


While all shops in Dhupguri remained completely shut down, very few people were sighted on the streets, since morning. Scarce to no buses were spotted plying on the streets as well.

Despite all the awareness and protocols issued to combat the spreading of COVID-19, some people were seen roaming in public places without wearing face or mouth masks.


Strict monitoring is being kept by the police in various parts of the city. Stern action was taken against all the lockdown violators.
