Belakoba’s Babupara Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee engaged in final preparations for Durgotsav

Rajganj, 13th October: The Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee of Belakoba is engaged in final preparations for Durgotsav. With just a countable number of days left for Durga Puja, preparations are in full swing in every Puja Mandap.


Reportedly, Belkoba’s Babupada Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee is organizing its 84th puja this year. The Committee held its first Durga Puja in the year 1939. Notably, the Babupada Sarvajaneen Durga Puja Committee is one among many committees that organize Durga Puja at Belakoba in Rajganj block. Since the beginning, the puja committee has been presenting beautiful Puja Mandaps. This year, the Puja Mandap is being decorated on the lines of an imaginary temple theme.

In this regard, Puja committee member Raju Dey stated that preparations for the puja are underway. The mandap is being decorated based on an imaginary temple theme. The materials used include leaves, plywood, and bamboo. He added that this year, the puja is being organized with a budget of 9 lakh rupees. Furthermore, he stated that various cultural programs will also be organized on all four days of the puja. He expects several people to witness the puja similar to previous years.
