Bangladeshi youth arrested on Indo-Nepal border of Kharibari

Kharibari, 12th August: A Bangladeshi youth identified as Mohammad Kausar Bepari was apprehended at the Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari, just days before Independence Day. Reportedly, Bepari hails from Cumilla in Bangladesh. Upon his arrest, Bangladeshi passport and civil identity documents were recovered from his possession. According to SSB, the Bangladeshi national was detained and subjected to interrogation at the India-Nepal border, near his attempted entry point into Nepal.

The suspicion arose due to his lack of valid documentation for crossing the border. Upon further probing, the SSB personnel uncovered irregularities in his claims and circumstances. Subsequently, he was arrested by the SSB personnel and handed over to Kharibari police station. The accused individual will be presented before the Siliguri Divisional Court tomorrow for legal proceedings.
