Fulbari, 03rd February: In a foiled attempt of robbery of an ATM of a bank located in the Jatiakali area under the New Jalpaiguri police station of Siliguri Metropolitan Police adjacent to Fulbari, a few miscreants fled from the scene upon sensing the presence of the police.
According to reports, on Friday night, the police were patrolling in the Jatiakali area at around 1 a.m. Subsequently, the police spotted a few miscreants near an ATM counter in the area. The miscreants were allegedly attempting to cut the counter with the assistance of a gas cutter.
Upon sensing the presence of the police, the miscreants fled from the scene leaving several items including a gas cutter and cylinder. Subsequently, the police chased however were unable to apprehend them. Currently, the New Jalpaiguri police are engaged in further investigation.
