ASHA workers protests in Bagdogra in support of many demands

Bagdogra, 03rd August: Along with the entire state, ASHA workers organized a sit-in demonstration program at Bagdogra Bihar More of Naxalbari block, on Wednesday. The ASHA workers put forward their various demands in the demonstration including government recognition instead of an incentive allowance and a salary of Rs 21 thousand.

In this regard, Block President of ASHA organization Banani Saha said that the ASHA workers are protesting demanding their government recognition and salary. She further added that earlier their demands were presented by submitting a memorandum to the District Health Officer, but no proper action was taken.
