Siliguri, 14th July: After TMC’s landslide victory in the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad election, Arun Ghosh who recently won from Naxalbari and Roop Reshmi Ekka from Bidhan Nagar have been appointed as the Sabhadhipati and Sahakari Sabhadhipati of Siliguri Mahakma Parishad respectively.
The announcement was made by Minister Aroop Biswas during a press conference at Mainak Tourist Lodge, on Thursday. Nalini Ranjan Roy has been elected as the party leader. District TMC President Papiya Ghosh and District Trinamool Chairman Alok Chakraborty were also present at the conference.
In this regard, Aroop Biswas stated that the swearing-in ceremony of the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad will be organized at the end of July. He further added that the names of Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat Pradhan will also be announced in a few days.
