Army personnel defused explosives washed away in Teesta River flash flood in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri, 13th October: The personnel of the Indian Army defused the explosives that were washed away in the Teesta River following the Sikkim disaster.


As per reports, on Friday, a special team of the Army’s Bomb Disposal Squad recovered the explosives on the banks of the Teesta River in Raipur Sadar Block, Jalpaiguri. Subsequently, the explosives were defused on an empty space on the Teesta River banks. Significantly, five explosives were recovered from different locations on the banks of Teesta River in Raipur Sadar block adjacent to Jalpaiguri.
