Ambari outpost police provide ration to 100 needy families amid lockdown

Rajganj, 21st May: The Ambari outpost police stepped forward to help the needy during lockdown. On Friday, the police provided ration to around 100 helpless families in the police station area.


Joy Tudu, the deputy police commissioner of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate, said that the lockdown has left the day wagers and their families amid crisis. Hence, such an initiative has been taken. He said that more such initiatives will be taken up in the future.


Siliguri Police Commissionerate ACP (East) Shuvendra Kumar, OC of NJP Police Station Samir Tamang and Ambari Outpost OC Mahesh Singh were present during the programme.
